Communications Policy

The current standing Executive Council on October 6, 1998 establishes the following “Communications Policy”. This policy will remain in force until changed or revoked by the current standing or future council(s), by simple majority vote.

PURPOSE: To ensure that mechanisms are in place for communication to the COA membership.

  1. There will be one electronic listserv for COA, currently named COA-L. The COA-L list will include at minimum; a) computer center directors, and, b) campus president appointed representatives from academic, administrative and network computing. COA-L will be kept current by the Assistant Chair of the Executive Council The Executive Council listserv, currently COAXLIST, will be kept current by the Chair of the Executive Council. The Secretary will be co-owner of COA-L and COAXLIST. The Secretary will be responsible for keeping the COA Web pages content current. System Administration will house the listservs.
  2. The Communications Work Group will be responsible for recommending Web maintenance and reviewing Web Page format changes. Any change must be approved by the Executive Council.
